Why are our prices changing?

Last Update 3 months ago

From 1st July 2022, BASI will be updating course prices.

In 2020, we reduced the cost of our membership subscription to £69.99 without removing any benefits, offering better value to our members. We won’t be changing this, and membership will remain at £69.99.

We’re making some changes to our courses this year to improve the quality of the product.

We’re supplementing our face-to-face courses with free, pre-course online learning to maximise your on-snow time with the trainer. We’re also reducing the maximum capacity of several courses to allow for a better trainer-to-student ratio, which means your trainer will have more time to spend helping you develop. Both of these improvements impact the cost of running a course.

As a not-for-profit, we don’t aim to profit from our courses, but we need to make sure we cover the costs. We haven’t adjusted the price of our courses since 2018. In addition to the positive changes mentioned above, since 2018 trainer fees and the cost of travel and accommodation have increased.

We’re conscious that the cost of living for all members is increasing significantly. That’s why we’ve made sure the average price increase for our courses is less than the rate of inflation since 2018.

Any bookings (including deposits) made before 1st July 2022 will secure the course at the 2021 price
